That’s Kaela and Anthony’s wedding in Hawaii. Drag to look around.

I shot it in 360 and came home with hours of footage and hundreds of photos from everyone else. It was the same day from a hundred angles, with no way to see it all together.

So I built StitchWitch in two weeks. It matches every photo to the video by the time it was taken, and nothing else. Nobody has to tag anything.

That’s simple until the clocks lie. The first time I ran the wedding through it, zero of 304 photos matched. The camera had written local time and labeled it UTC. Pixel videos claimed to be from 1970. Most of the work was getting the clocks to agree.

Next up is keeping the view sharp as you turn around, and then VR headsets.

If you shoot events in 360, I’d love to hear from you.

Nothing here is perfect, and that’s sort of the point. The film jumps, the light leaks, the color drifts. I think that’s where the charm hides.... in all the little ways the world refuses to be polished.
